Parent Participation
Parents are actively encouraged to participate by supporting classroom programs and whole school events.
Governing Council's objective is to involve the school community in the governance of the school to strengthen and support public education in the community.
To do this Governing Council has a range of functions which include monitoring and reviewing plans, school policies, budgeting, and ensuring that the educational needs of the community are understood and met.
Much of the work of Council is undertaken by its committees that report and bring recommendations to Council for approval.
Parents with an interest in any of these committees are welcome to join them whether they are members of Council or not. All Governing Council meetings are open to the general school community.
Committees include:
- The Finance Advisory Committee
- The Grounds and Facilities Committee
- Fundraising Committee
- Out of School Hours Care (OSHC)
