Student Leadership
Student leadership opportunities occur across the curriculum where students negotiate their learning and have opportunities to take on specific roles reinforcing teamwork and developing their responsibilities towards and with others.

Student Values Forum 2006
Articulating your understanding of learning is an important part of achieving
success. Students led a Values Forum in 2006 where they taught Para
Hills Community members about the School Values and tools they use
to manage situations.
The students use the catastrophe scale to work out how they are feeling
about a situation and to help them problem solve.

The students use the Parking Lot to record:
- what is going well
- what needs improvement
- ideas for improvement and
- questions they may have
They are discussed in class meetings and this ensures important issues, which arise during their learning, are addressed. This is an authentic way to have a say in their learning.
Student Representative Council (SRC)
Each class elects two members (1 boy and 1 girl) to be on the Student Representative Council.
The SRC meets regularly to discuss issues relevant to the student body, and the representative's report back to their class meeting.
Items are discussed with the class, ready for discussion at the next SRC meeting.
